Diaper changing with an infant boy is quite the adventure. I would say 9 out 10 times the kid sprays. The other night was one such time and Rosie had taken up her usual spot right next to me watching the routine. She got sprayed on her face and arm. A look of disgust crossed her face and then she said, “OH MAN! Baby pee pee on me!” Brian and I were laughing so hard I had a difficult time getting the kids clothes back on.

One of my first days home with Sawyer my mom was helping me change him when he started to pee. My first reaction was to watch, but my mom…being the experienced mother she is…put her hand over the spray to avoid a mess. She’s so smart…you should look into the Pee Pee Teepes (http://www.uncommongoods.com/item/item.jsp?itemId=13271)they make to help with that problem!!

We have the pee tee pees and they work sort of.

Thank heavens for little girls.
I always put a cold, wet wipe on their belly first to shock the system into peeing while they still had a diaper on. It really helps. I think Christian usually only peed all over after baths. I learned that trick with Erica who peed nearly ever time, although with girls it’s not heading towards your face. . .
Hmmm, wonder if I still could hit the ceiling?
