    Thanksgiving…looming

What does that mean to me?BIRTH MONTH

Actually I am really hoping for birth week to be this week.  The past few days have been more physically demanding than ever and even getting up the stairs is becoming a serious chore.  But that is where the bathrooms are…

Serra~V~ is starting to think we have been playing a joke on her for a third of her life and this baby is never coming.  Brian encourages me to do whatever it takes to bring labor on and is thinking about scheduling a helicopter ride for me.  We are definitely ready.

This morning I was sitting on one of my wooden kitchen chairs and it collapsed with wood splintering on one side of it nearly impaling me.  The chair is a total loss as far as I’m concerned.  It took me about 5 minutes to get untangled and off the floor so I wouldn’t get stabbed.  This chair had a crack on the bottom from the time we got it a few years ago but I didn’t think it would just give way like that.  I’m just glad I wasn’t standing on it.

Last night was our ward Halloween party and trunk or treat.  Serra has her year supply of candy.

The pumpkin is the other offering from our little patch.  Serra chose to do a scary face

Serra’s favorite game/activity at the party was fishing which she did at least 10 times.

She tried out the ring toss too.

Find the great pumpkin…that is Pam. Not pictured…a girl in the ward came as me…a pregnant lady…I thought it was pretty funny.

Trunk or treating.  When she could no longer hold the heavy pumpkin she declared it was time to go.

As we were undoing the costume we had a little fun with Serra’s bendable hair.

  • Thats scary about the chair. Perhaps if you were standing on it and it collapsed you would have induced labor. At any rate, im glad you’re ok. Serra once again is so cute. I miss that little boogus.

  • My girlfriend swears by casterol (sp?) oil.  She used it with both of her children.  If you get desperate enough give it a try.–maren

  • Glad you are okay! That’s scary.  – I would only try caster oil if you’re Really desperate. Everyone I know that has tried it just got really sick from it and said it was NASTY so I’ve always been too big of a chicken to try it. My mom tried it and so did my sister but we’re all notorious for not going into labor anyway so maybe it would work for most people! Good luck! I’m SO glad we don’t have stairs!! I don’t know HOW you do it!!

  • The only thing that would have made you pumpkin costume more perfect would have been to wear a belt under it so your bulbous tummy really showed. I love SerraV’s costume. I’m sorry to hear about the chair incident but am very glad you don’t have to get it removed from any part of your body.

  • is it okay to call a pregnant person bulbous?

  • Only if the person using the word bulbous is also bulbous herself.

  • Too scary about the chair!  You make a mighty fine pumpkin… very cute!  I don’t understand how you did Serra’s hair. Amazing.

  • Alas, and alas! We must exercise SO much PATIENCE… waiting for 7 and 8… pc

  • You run wire up one braid over the top of the head and down the other, my dad did it to me once and insisted I looked like pippi longstocking, I made my mom take it out.

  • still waiting on word from buguss 2
