For the first time since July Brian had a weekend. We got up had breakfast and he got to work. It’s been two years since we moved into this place and there are still projects that haven’t been finished. I wish I was a little more capable of doing some of it since I have more time than Brian. I know that I would not be able to do as well as Brian and it would take me twice the time. ( And I really don’t want to do it either) Anyway, the bathrooms were on the schedule for this weekend and they are nearly finished now. We need some moulding around the floor and some finished grout in the splash guard on the counters and then they are complete. He tiled the remaining bathroom and put moulding around the mirrors and installed tile as splash guard in both bathrooms. One tile in the Master bath had to be replaced as well.
Serra really wanted to help and Brian was very patient and let her place a few tiles now and then. She felt pretty important. On one occasion while Brian was in the garage cutting some pieces, Serra took what she had learned from her Pop and put it to use. When Brian came back up there were three tiles laid that he had not done, and the spot in the upstairs bathroom that was getting a new tile had one as well. I saw her earlier trying different pieces to find one that fit but never saw her find the one. If college doesn’t work out she can always learn a trade.
I am happy we will be able to enjoy the improvements before we sell.

Feels good to get a project done, doesn’t it? Speaking of feeling good and major projects, hows the bambino? COUNTDOWN!!! ~L
I have really struggled to get heartburn under control and I think I have come up with a working formula. Countdown indeed! Sometime in the next 40 days.
I’m with ya! Although I hope to have my babe in the next 30 days. I guess for sure in the next 35 days but my dr. is talking in 28. we’ll probably schedule my induction date when I go to my appt. next week! Hard to believe but yet I’m feeling SO ready, although with Eric a little under the weather we might have to go closer to the 35 days. Glad you guys got to see each other more this weekend.
Wow.. Brian got a lot done in one weekend. Let’s hope Sat. continue this way. They should, but what do I know.
I say 40 days but 40 days is the ultimate limit. I plan on more like 24-28 days. I feel ready now.
WHAT… no mention of the brand new Miter Saw that facilitated this progressive project… must we pull compliments from crook and cranny? Ah, the impressions made with a new blade… pc
The miter saw worked great. Thanks for letting us break it in for you.
It always takes a move in the near future (or a baby) to get house projects done quicker.
