Permit update; We don’t have them in hand yet but we received notice yesterday that the plans were approved and that we should expect the permit to be available as early as Tuesday. Final plans and documents were sent to the bank yesterday as well so funding should be in place next week as well. I grossly underestimated the time it would take us to get the plans through Clark County but some of the blame is on me as I’ve been so busy with the business that the house plans often took a back seat. Anyhow…looks like we’ll be off and running shortly.

Wonderful news… grab a shovel! pc
Hey I am really glad to hear that your plans were approved. I know from helping Dad that one summer what a pain that place can be and can imagine that it must have been very frustrating. I am so excited for you guys to get your house going. Love you guys!
It’s probably better that you won’t be done in January anyway. Moving with the new baby wouldn’t be very fun.
You would love to work with Providence. We went in to talk to the guy (there is only one) before we started to find out what we were to anticipate. When we turned the plans in it was a simple thing and we had them back in a week. The 4-way inspection was a matter of “call me”… he was there with in a day…
I saw your plans and was envious. I suspect my plans are on par with construction of the space shuttle. Anyhow, I’m just glad we can move forward now. -B
Not having detailed plans has it MANY draw backs but the permit process was sure easy!
So are you keeping both houses or is the current house on the market now?
Our current house has dropped in value by the tune of 50-70K since we purchased it. Ouch! We will hang onto it and rent it out. Who knows…when we decide to sell the new one a few years down the road we may need a place to crash for a few months while we build another.
So your busy life is soon to get MUCH busier huh? Fun times though. Good luck with it all.
