Brian and I are using Aunt Lolita’s funeral as a romantic getaway. It may seem strange but we do what we have to for quality alone time now and then. I was going to go alone and fly back the same day but when I suggested Brian come with me without the girls he thought that was a spiffy idea. Jeff and Maren have graciously agreed to watch our girls overnight. I am amazed at how long my list of daily routine to help things run smoothly has gotten. Hopefully, everyone will be happy and healthy while we are away for 34 hours. It’s not a long time but I am starting to miss my kidlets already. I have never been away from Rosie overnight since she was born. We couldn’t be leaving them in better hands though. The kids adore Jeff and Maren. We’ll let you know how it goes. And Jeff and Maren can tell the truth of how it really went on their site .

Feeling really badly that I cannot be there with you today. I loved Aunt Lolita!
Sorry to hear about your Aunt. Glad to hear about your getaway! I’m sure the girls (and their sitters) will have a grand, tiring, time!
I do wish we could all have gone to the funeral… She was a great lady and wonderful friend to Mom A.
Good for you guys - that’s the way to put the “fun” back in funeral. ~g
Clever, Gary… very clever! pc
