First off, in case we didn’t see you this past week. We are officially announcing the impending addition to our family come late January. At this point I am 11 weeks along and feeling quite gooey but not bad enough to keep me home. I have been sicker with this one than with the other 2 combined. If you want to read further into that be my guest, but I am just glad for the reminder that as long as I feel gross everything is ok. We have decided to be suprised at delivery so don’t ask us if we know what we’re having because your guess is as good as ours. We expect this to be our caboose so we are very excited.
Friday June 29, the girls and I began our travels. We were off by mid afternoon and arrived in Cedar City with a little time to play before going to bed. Rosie had a particularly difficult time sleeping and so 6am came rather quickly for my taste. We all headed (Maren with us) north to Highland, UT to the Brower family reunion where we spent the day visiting with those that bothered to show up. I am always a little disappointed with those that live in the area and still can’t manage to make an appearance. Either way we enjoyed those that were there and I must admit I stayed out in the heat too long. It took me a few days to kick the headache that ensued. The girls were exhausted and when we settled in Serra and Rich’s home in Logan later that night they crashed hard.
Sunday was the day Doug and Darci Arnell chose to bless their Ethan. He was blessed in the same building that I was along with 3 other of my siblings. Our family was well represented and pretty much took over the testimony meeting. That was a bit of a treat. Later we gathered at Julie and Jared Kirby’s for BBQ chicken and other vittles. There was quite a crowd and still a lot of food was left over and was the means of many meals over the next few days.
Tuesday was a fun day. We took the older girls to see a movie (Ratatouille) while the little ones hung out with a babysitter. Then later that night we headed to USU campus to watch the fireworks. It’s so nice to be in a smallish town for the 4th of July celebrations. People actually hang flags and have a fireworks program.
Upon returning home on Wednesday I learned that the city of Las Vegas did absolutely nothing for the 4th. It is a bit irritating on occasion to live in a place where the biggest concern is how to lure more tourists into town. And not a single flag besides ours was flying in my neighborhood when I got home. Sad really.
On a lighter note, the girls traveled sooooo well. I think Serra asked me once how much longer we had, and Sophia fussed for about 30 seconds before she fell asleep at one point. I think I should consider myself fortunate after hearing about how some of my family’s children travel.
Newest cousin
Uncle Dallas obliges with rides.
The line
It’s a little scary. Hold on tight.
Nice do.
Fireworks.
A little nervous at first and then it was all the rage.
The girls love their Auntie Maren
Olivia is required to carry her own things. Don’t forget bunny.
Let’s beat up Uncle Rich. First a swift kick and then some slapping action.
Shows over. Time to go home.

I LOVE 4th of July in Logan! We went to a fireworks show last night which was great, but there was no music. There’s something about having the music play as you watch! Any BearLakers in attendance??
Wow you got that done fast! What a great entry- makes me wish we could have hung around longer. Photoshop that shot of Mom’s red blouse before she sees it. ~L

My young Liv is quite cute isn’t she. Whoever decided to put back-pack straps on that seat is going down in my book of geniouses. Excellent idea. Oh & as you know, I am VERY patriotic because my flag is still flying strong (I should mention though that I hung it up late on the 4th & am too lazy to take it down.)
Seriously, you guys know how to have a good time. It was GREAT to see you guys and get to stay at your place. I need your pancake recipe. They were SO GOOD!! Hope you have a grand time in Utah and that Brian and co. survive the WY trip!
