Back in November Serra’s friend Patrick who is a year older than her bore his testimony in Sacrament meeting. She declared she wanted to get up and bear her testimony. We didn’t let her at that time because she didn’t know what a testimony was. Since then we have had a few family home evening lessons and practiced bearing testimony. Yesterday when she realized it was testimony meeting again she got excited and declared she wanted to bear her testimony too. I could tell she was a little nervous but excited. She went up with Brian behind her for moral support and did it by herself. She said.”I want to bear my testimony. I love Jesus Christ. I love my family.” Then she turned around and looked at Brian. “I love the church.” And she ended it properly. It was very sweet. She declared that she was a tiny bit scared.
Rosie has been having major fits before bedtime. Usually an hour of screaming bloody murder goes by before she falls asleep hiccuping. I had Serra sleep with her last night to see what would happen. She slept through the whole night instead of waking a few hours later looking for company. We are going to try that one again and make sure it wasn’t just a fluke. Thank goodness for big sisters.
In the meantime. Here is Rosie’s word list at 15 months. There is a constant chatter/babble coming from here but there are a few consistancys.
Bark Bark – She imitates dogs.
Mo – Really, her first word. It is very high pitched.
Ma – That’s my name…
Uh Oh – It is a REALLY loud Uhh followed by a lower oh. She especially likes to do this during church.
Hi – She says hi to everyone…Including herself in the mirror.
Ah duh – translates..all done.

That is so sweet of Serra. She is one brave cookie. That’s great. Good luck on the sleeping arrangements! A big amen to your last statement too!
sounds like Serra V at that age…I remember Serra V having fits before she would sleep too.
I hope that sleeping with Serra will do the trick. How nice would that be for you to be able to sleep through the night?!–maren
serra’s are great, arent they?
My friend Brooke has her two boys sleeping together in a twin bed, foot to foot. She finally got a new twin bed put in their room & the boys declared, “Look another bed that WE get to sleep in.” I think it’s great if they can sleep together. Ever since her boys have started doing it, they’ve both slept through the night consistently & gone to bed better. Good luck.
How come you have Fast Sunday on the last Sunday in February? e/s pc
