We switched church times this week to 9am and it is amazing to be home at noon instead of 4pm. Anyway, we are enjoying the lull after the holidays. Serra has been asking to go see some snow especially since she saw all the videos of cousins having so much fun. I decided to take the girls up to the snow Friday so I could avoid doing the tax paperwork I have been putting off. It was a beautiful sunny day and not too cold. “Our” snow is about 40 minutes to the north of us. We found a delightful sledding spot and found an abandoned sled waiting for us. We played the afternoon away. The only thing that would have made the afternoon more fun was if Brian had been with us.
Sophia enjoyed her first ice cream cone the other day. She sat down on the floor and gave it her undivided attention.
Serra’s little friend Patrick was sealed to his parent last week and I took some pictures for them. His mom is also Serra’s preschool teacher. Brian came and ran interference with the girls. It was really cold even though it looks nice out.

The best of both worlds… and all within an hour! e/s pc
Poor sophia’s feet must have been kind of cold. No reason to get snow boots when you don’t live in the cold, right? Looks like a good time.
Serra V has got some skills on that sled! Getting sideways at the end and not tipping. That was a great shot of Sophia grinning ear to ear walking on the ice…err … snow.
It was windy but not overly cold. I was wearing similiar shoes to Rosie and my feet didn’t get cold at all. She was fine and wanted to roam free.
Great entry, but… anyone else not able to view the video? ~g
AW! I love those kinds of memories. I still remember my first time going sledding! What an awesome mom to take her kids on such fun outings! I am sure they really appreciated it, well actually i know they did from there smiles and laughter!
Now we can see the video – great camera skills as always! That looks like a fabo sledding hill. ~g
Fun times. I wish it was warmer so our kids could enjoy our snow.
We too have 9am church now. Which means Eric has meetings beginning at 7 so I am proud to say I have had all four kids and myself ready and on time all month. We’ll see how it’s going come July . . . .
I spoke too soon. . . between seatbelt meltdowns and forgotten diaper bags the kids and I gracefully walked in during the opening song. ooooops. So much for July.
