Serra woke up yesterday with a rash on her neck and face. We figured she got some of the herbicide on her that Brian sprayed outside for weeds. It got worse as the day progressed and then she was up crying in the middle of the night with a tummy ache and fever. Her rash had also spread to the rest of her body. It looks awful. I took her into the doc this morning and she has a strain of strep called Scarletina. I’m glad I took her in because it can be treated with antibiotics and if Rosie shows any signs of illness she can be treated too. Needless to say we are tired today.
Yesterday, however, before we realized she was sick, the sicky went and had a fun day with Adriane. They went to the Y and swam for a few hours. Adriane called me after a while and said they were coming home because she thought they were getting heat stroke even though they were in the pool. 112 degrees with excessive heat warnings this weekend. It is nasty outside. The air conditioning in the car can’t keep up with it.
I bought an upright freezer and it came yesterday. I thought having the bigger freezer in the house would be sufficient, but when one likes to shop Costco it just doesn’t do. I dulled the financial ache for Brian a little by putting an entire box of Otter Pops inside for his Otter Popping pleasure. You should have seen the look of joy in his eyes when he saw them. (I personally can’t stand the things, but he loves’em.)
While Serra was away yesterday, Rosie and I did an 8 month photo shoot. Rosie was not pleased with the outfit I chose, but it had to be done and we got some good ones. Here are some of my favorites.

Let’s try to guess which part of the outfit with which she wasn’t pleased! Cute combo… happy mending to wellness! e/s pc
Those are awesome photos. Wherever did you get that hat? ~g
Made the hat for a infant Serra photo shoot.
I remember the angel shot of SV long ago. It’s priceless & now you have some new ones to match. I particulary love the really clos up one. That’s a framer for sure. Good job. Nice use of your plain carpet & walls.
