Remember the identity theft situation. The bank the checks cleared from have done thier “investigation” and have decided not to cover the checks. It looks like we may have to take it to court. They didn’t even look closely at the evidence we gave them. They said that since we didn’t have the checks locked up in our office it’s our fault. What office? I think they deny all claims because most people will just roll over. It’s too much money to give up on though. Brian is on the phone this morning dealing with that.
Dining room table scheduled to arrive today. Serra’s bed tomorrow. I hate how long things take to be delivered.

Have Brian stick to his guns. The Bank is responsible to check signatures also. The folks that accepted the checks at the other end have a responsibility too. Let us know what happens.
That made my face get sweaty. How scary! That’s a lot of money. May the best man (that’s you) win!
On track… they deny, deny, deny, until you scream one more time than they do. It is a fuduciary relationship… they failed you and are responsible. However, it’s a shame the real bandits got away… that’s a no brainer! e/s pc
I agree with what’s been said- what is the reason for signing checks at all if the merchant AND the bank are not going to check/verify them? Especially when they are for such high amounts. Good luck. ~L
Best of luck! I HATE identity theft issues! AND I’m SO EXCITED for your new house adventures and can’t wait to see some pictures of the kids, place and new furniture when you’re all settled!
