  • I have an excuse for not updating.  The past week we have been at the Calabasas house and hanging with family over the T-day holiday.  I do have pictures but they require processing so I need some time.

I am tired today.  Last night I don’t recall getting much sleep and morning came with me feeling quite delirious.  I must have eaten something that didn’t agree with Sophia.  She is sleeping soundly today and  I have been able to lay down a bit, but Serra is not very quiet today.  I can’t be upset though.  She is 3 and needs activity and I am afraid I am not very fun and active right now.

We spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Mom and Dad’s down the road and I was able to relax and enjoy the activity around me.  Friday we stayed home and I had Brian run errands and clean the house.  He has been really good about picking up the slack for me and on top of all he has on his plate as well.

Saturday we spent most of the day at Gary and Liesl’s helping with a few projects to prepare their house a bit before they put it up on the market.  Correction:  Brian helped, I sat with the baby, and Serra played with her cousins.

Sunday after a short debut at church for Sophia we headed to Calabasas again to have dinner with the family and see Auntie Serra off.  I love the holiday’s.  It’s so nice to have family to spend it with.

Sophia is fattening up a bit, even in just the week since we last wrote.  She is awake a little more and we are still awaiting the mystery of what color her eyes will be.  Where Serra was so obviously brown from day 1, Sophia changes depending on what light you look at them in.  She has been pretty good at night giving me a 3 hour stretch now and then.  The past few days she has learned to squawk when she wants something.  She has got a set of lungs on her and isn’t timid when she is upset.  She also has a very explosive behind.  Diaper changing is an adventure to say the least.  While changing her last night she exploded so violently we had baby content more than 7 feet across the room.  We spent a good half hour cleaning up that one.  I am not exaggerating, ask Brian.

Anyway, duty calls, otherwise known as feeding time.  I will make an effort to get some fresh pictures up with in the next few days.

  • I’m in need of some photos to update my minds eye of Sophia. I’ll bet she’s really changed as her features pop out.

  • I would not sleep either if I was shooting crap 7 feet out.  What the heck are you eating?  Poor baby, that is just cruel! <grin>
