Hey, I figured out how to get onto my site from another computer. How savvy of me. Let’s see… where are we.
When I last wrote I was preparing the computer for a reformat. The discs that came with the computer wouldn’t work so we took it in unformatted. They told me they would do it for an extra $60 and I was not willing to pay that so I took it home again to try it one more time. Once again the discs didn’t work and I waited on hold for the service dept. at Best Buy to help me. I finally gave up on that and just took it back in and had them hook it up to see why I was having such difficulty. After a while the guy came out and informed me our hard drive was bad and needed to be replaced. That explained why we are always freezing up. Luckily it is covered under the warranty. Since then Brian has picked it up but it still has the mouse problem we had before. So one more trip in.
The computer day was also the day that Julie called with the water leak. So I got home and was settling down from a frustrating day and immediately started packing and getting things and ready as I could for our absence.
Mom picked us up at around 9:30 PM and we drove as far as Las Vegas, pulling in around 2:30 with eyes barely able to stay open. Mom and Dad Anderson were in Provo for the Leap Birthday celebration on Grandpa Gee but Adriane was at the house staying with the cats and let us crash. It was a rough night since Serra had had a nice nap on the way and was ready to play. She kept seeing the cats outside the room and wanted to play.
We woke up later than we intended and were on the road by 8:45. We recieved news that Julie delivered at 10:02. The weather cooperated with us miraculously. It snowed a bit but didn’t make the roads bad. We could tell that Utah had been pounded in the past 24 hours and were glad to have missed it. We made Logan Regional Hospital just at visiting hours 6:00 pm and went to visit our newest Leap Day arrival. Wouldn’t you know Olivia was just an adorable creature, even hours after the trauma of birth. Jules and Jared looked beat and so we made the visit a short one.
Since then we have been spending most of the time baby gazing. Although we did take a short jaunt to Richmond so mom could spend a small fortune on cookies, goldfish, and fat boys, ensuring that by the end of this visit we will all be fat boys and girls. We also went to Highland yesterday to see Jessica Browers baptism. It was nice of her to plan a nice little party so we could all get together and visit. Thanks Jess!
So that takes us to today. It has been a week and mom has informed me that we will be driving back a week from tomorrow. HOLY LONG TRIP! We miss Brian A LOT. Serra has a little difficulty with the change in rountine but is managing. There are a lot of tears and no no’s heard. In fact there are tears right now….gotta go.
By the way, this is SV”s first snow experience. she is not very impressed.

Sounds like a party for sure! Maybe we’ll have another niece ready for you to see on your way home but I’m afraid this Anderson baby girl isn’t in a hurry to arrive. Hope the rest of your trip goes well. enjoy the cold!
Pam, thanks for the update. Have been waiting for a travel-log and some pictures of the new baby. Got the update, but pictures are still to come????JR
That’s insubordination, JR… what do you call the photos I posted… chopped liver? pc
I have a ton of pictures but not the software and hardware hookups to post. You will have to wait another week for what I have. Julie is working on it but her harddrive is giving her fits.
