  • As promised…These are portions of three different dresses.

    The sleeve…

The hem… notice the top part is glued up.  The glue shows through on the outside.  The bottom is serged.

Another fine hem example.  I think she just gave up at this point and started serging the whole thing.

The sleeve again, with….is that a Twinkie cream stain?

I have always thought zippers are challanging….but, come on!  At the bottom of it you will see a little dark spot on each side of the zipper.  That is glue.  There is a big hole under the zipper and she tried gluing it together.

Here it is from a distance.  Lovely isn’t it.  This is the back.  We took off the train so you could see the puckering a little better.  So, imagine the same stuff hanging from the sleeves wraped thinly around the waist and a sheer train as well.

Now here is something not quite as disasterous.  Serra~V~ with sweet potatoes on her eyebrow.  Her bib has seen better days as well.  She gets a little feisty at meal time on occasion.  That spoon is so interesting.

Thought you farm boys might be interested in this.  This is Eric, Brian’s brother, with his first elk.  And below is thier youngest, Maiah.  Does she look like her Granny Anderson or what?

We can’t forget about Erica.  She is thier oldest.

  • What a mess those dresses are! I really could probably rival that with my little sewing abilities. How horrible!! I hope the skirt thing works out. They probably would have had some possibility to be pretty dresses had they had someone with real ability try them. (like you)   Serra V is as cute as ever!!

That’s great you were able to put those pics on. Eric sure is proud. They had to go back up again today just to pack the rest of the meat out. He and his boss took 2 trips yesterday and figure they’ll make 3 more trips today! about 500 lbs of meat. :)

  • I think that is what a dress would like if I were to sew it up… of course, my creation would include a piece of timber or two… pc

  • god luck pam

  • That is simply astonishing.  Classic dress photos.  Has the bride seen them or the dresses? Has the seamstress been asked to explain herself? ~G

  • The bride has not seen them but her mother has, and she said to do what ever they want.  She didn’t pay for them so why should she care.  I wouldn’t mind being there to see the girls face when they show up in skirts instead of the mess she created.

  • That dress reminds me of that one dress I made for Glenn Miller. Remember? It was bad news, $100.00, 24 hours of work & I’ll never EVER wear it again. I used tape instead of glue though.
