  • I am not sure how this all works but we are going to have a go at it.     It has been a very busy week for Brian.  58 hours in 5 days.  He is exhausted.  I went out to see him yesterday at work and tripped on a curb.  I sprained my ankle and scared the baby.  Serra was in the baby carrier and was not hurt at all but was awakened suddenly much to her dismay.  I sat down on the curb and called Brian out to come and finish carrying her as I was not able.  I am a clutz in case ya’ll are wondering.  Speaking of Serra.  She is delightful.  She sings all the time.  Even while sleeping she coos after evey breath.  When Brian and I sing to her she sings back and smiles.  She brings a great deal of happiness and laughter into our lives.  Brian says it makes going to work bearable knowing what it’s for and that he has her to come home to.  Not that I wasn’t good enough before, but … you know what I mean.

Last weekend Serra had her first cold and really got frusrated when she couldn’t breath.  She really hates it when I take matters into my own hands and relieve her of some of the nose goo.

The weekend before that we blessed her.  We had quite a showing and enjoyed having so many loved ones here.  Serra slept through the whole weekend.  I think she knows when she is the center of attention and when she gets sick of it she plays possom.  Brian gave her a beautiful blessing with hopes that she would always remember who she was and to put Heavenly Father first in her life.  Also, that she would remember those for who she was named for and the great family legacy she comes from.  She looked beautiful in her Great Grandfather Arnell’s blessing gown, which was made for him in 1911.  It is back in Grandma Arnell’s safekeeping.
